Description and appearance
Slenderman's appearance stays fairly standard across the spectrum with a few variations depending on the author. For the most part Slenderman is a tall, thin, and faceless pale creature that wears a black suit. Some newer depictions give him tentacles. Below however is a full list of collective traits.
-Tall, sources vary anywhere from 6-10 ft tall (Some limit it to 7-10, reasonable)
-Wears a black suit, sometimes depicted as pinstriped (Only because of the connection to “Nightmare before Christmas” Jack Skellington. Most often sources say black) This suit may also be depicted to have coat-tails.
- Slender a.k.a. skinny or thin in appearance
-His face and head are greatly depicted as white, bald, and faceless.
-Some stories however suggest the face is different depending on the person, or that it can change to whatever you fear most.
-Some stories also depict him to have a mouth, but detail is not described as to what this mouth is like.
-He is described to have spurring tendrils, often comparable to branches and tentacles.
-These tentacles may vary by appearance in pictures, often 4-8
-Tentacles are possibly retractable, or he may summon them at will
- His fingers are sometimes described to be like claws, or sharp
-Some descriptions depict him to wear a hat (But this reference isn't seen often...)
-Depicted to sometimes wear a scarf or necktie, often grey, black or red (Necktie is more common)
- Wears black dress shoes
-Has a white undershirt
-His appendages are often described as retractable, considering they don’t always appear.
- Sometimes said to wear black gloves, and his hands are white like his face
- Adding to the faceless description, some stories state that the face is formed and dented (as in dents where the eyes should me, bump for the nose, etc.
- Associated with the operator symbol which is a circle with an overlaying X.
-His face does not appear on film, but according to occasional stories people may say he has a face, thus giving way to the theory that Slender appears differently to everyone.
